Litografia a colori. 560x342 mm. Monogramma G.F. (François Georgin). Alcuni strappetti ai margini e segni d’umidità. Buon esemplare.

Rara ed interessante stampa popolare della litografia Pellerin. La stampa mostra 4 personaggi (due militari, un falegname e un pellegrino) che aspettano per ricevere un credito. Il titolo in alto ricorda che il credito si darà solo quando il gallo canterà. Come precisa la dicitura in basso “Quando la lancetta segna mezzogiorno, ti daremo credito”, quindi i personaggi, in attesa di ricevere il credito, imprecano affinchè il gallo finalmente canti.

Rare and interesting popular print of the Pellerin lithography. The print shows 4 characters (two soldiers, a carpenter and a pilgrim) waiting for a credit. The title above reminds you that credit will only be given when the rooster crows. As the words below specify "When the hand strikes noon, we will give you credit”, then the characters, waiting to receive the credit, curse so that the rooster finally crows.
